The Role

The global asset manager's Sustainability Group is hiring an intern for its Sustainable Solutions sub-team, based in Singapore. The team works on decarbonisation of portfolio companies and identifying opportunities in Sustainable Living trends. The internship requires a minimum commitment of 20 weeks, full-time. Full-time (5 days per week) or part-time at a minimum of 4 days per week is strongly preferred.

About The Sustainable Solutions Team

The Sustainable Solutions team focuses on two areas: catalysing decarbonisation solutions aligned with the global asset manager's 2030 and 2050 portfolio decarbonisation targets, and identifying emerging themes in Sustainable Living. Technology sectors in scope include low-carbon energy solutions (hydrogen, fusion and fission energy, advanced geothermal energy), advanced biofuels and e-fuels for maritime and aviation, electrification of heavy industry, data centre and cooling efficiency, and water solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the team in catalysing decarbonisation solutions across multiple clean energy and water sectors, including deploying capital and solutions.
  • Work across technology innovation, ecosystem-enabling initiatives, and policy and regulation proposals as relevant.
  • Research and analyse new technology areas, covering decarbonisation trends, policy and regulatory developments, and market and commercial drivers.
  • Distil findings into actionable insights for the broader ecosystem.
  • Engage team stakeholders to validate problem statements as needed.

Skills & Experience

  • Currently pursuing or holding a degree in science, engineering, business, or finance. Advanced degree candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge of clean energy and water technologies and/or markets.
  • Some familiarity with technoeconomic modelling and financial modelling is advantageous.
  • Ability to coordinate across diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Creative, organised, detail-oriented, and results-focused.
  • Genuine interest in sustainable climate impact.
