Description

We're looking for an innovative Measurement, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Associate with a unique combination of skills who wants to play a major role in tackling climate change.

You’ll be joining our CommsHub team, which combines pooled funding, aligns strategy development, and provides technical support to supercharge the climate movement’s ability to pursue innovative, scaled, measurable, and impactful strategic communications.

How you'll contribute

  • Write and edit case studies and impact highlights that showcase the impacts and achievements of grantees
  • Design and implement frameworks and methodologies for case studies, impact highlights, and grant-specific MEL activities.
  • Conduct interviews, collect written and visual materials, and liaise with grantees to gather the necessary inputs for those case studies and impact highlights
  • Establish processes for ensuring data quality, consistency, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Track and coordinate grant reporting for the larger team, including keeping track of deadlines as well as informing others of the materials, KPIs and documents they will need to provide
  • Help draft funder reports and presentations, coordinating with the Executive Director and senior leadership team as well as other key team members
  • Engage with and advise colleagues at aligned regranters and other relevant institutions to support learning and advances in MEL frameworks and approaches
  • Contribute to the development of a MEL framework for specific workstreams and grants, working with the Meliore Director of Impact & Evaluation as well as the Executive Director
  • Along with the rest of the team, keep an eye on legal and contractual compliance when reviewing materials
  • Any other duties to be assigned from time to time

To succeed in this role, you will have all 4 of the below qualities:

  • The ability to scan and synthesize large volumes of information and identify the compelling stories or points of evidence
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, to help tell the stories of strategic communications projects around the world
  • A proven track record of coordination and project management, working with multiple team members and partners across multiple projects
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language;
Nice to haves:
  • Experience in philanthropy or the non-profit sector is a major asset, including MEL, grant writing or communications
  • A genuine interest in and passion for addressing climate change.
  • The disposition to work generously with colleagues in a high-trust global community of peers.
  • The versatile and adaptable skills necessary to flourish in a fast-paced and wide-ranging work environment and work across time zones using tools such as Zoom, Slack and email (Google Workspace).
  • A commitment to an inclusive and empowering approach to facing climate change.
  • Additional languages are an asset.

Location: flexibly remote.
