Required Trade Disciplines

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Controls Technician/Project Manager to oversee and manage HVAC control systems projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in HVAC controls, Test and Balance, Commissioning, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead a team of technicians effectively.
Reporting – Directly to the Director of Operations
Skill Set
- Hands On; fill any Team Roll Required
- HVAC Equipment - RTU, MAU, OAU, AHU, VAV, FCU, Exhaust, Building Envelope and Pressure Rooms
- Variable Air Volume Systems.
- Building Automation, Tridium Niagara Platform; Honeywell, Distech and/or Johnson Controls.
- Test and Balance Experience
- Commissioning
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Lead HVAC controls projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, general contractors, and other sub-contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technical Oversight:
- Provide technical guidance and support to the HVAC controls team.
- Hands On; Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC control issues.
- Interact with Test and Balance Contractor.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
- Attend Local and State Inspections
- Attend Owner Verification Meetings
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and train HVAC controls technicians.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Client Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Travel Required

- 50% to 75% Travel
