We are currently seeking a Business Developer to join our mission and drive strategic partnerships, market traction, and business growth.


Position Overview:


As a Business Development & Go-to-Market Lead for the Battery Passport platform, you will own the strategic interface between market needs, regulatory requirements, and platform positioning. You will lead go-to-market strategy development, shape value propositions, and build strategic partnerships to accelerate adoption across the battery value chain.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify and develop business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances to expand the platform's reach across battery-related sectors (automotive, defense, energy storage, recycling, etc.).
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis, including Battery Passport–related regulatory and standards mapping (e.g., EU Battery Regulation 2023/1542, GS1 Digital Link, ESPR, EUBW, circularity and traceability frameworks) to inform product positioning and market fit.
  • Define value propositions and tailor narratives for diverse customer segments (OEMs, recyclers, regulators, second-life operators, etc.).
  • Lead strategic business development activities, from opportunity identification and stakeholder engagement to commercial alignment and partnership structuring.
  • Coordinate and support proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives to validate market fit, generate reference use cases, and inform product positioning and communication materials.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of go-to-market strategies, including target segments, entry approaches, and partner-led growth models.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and technical teams to align customer insights with platform capabilities, and support the creation of positioning, go-to-market, and communication materials (pitch decks, value briefs, use cases).
  • Support content and thought-leadership activities by providing market-driven input for whitepapers, case studies, event materials, and platform narratives.
  • Represent MEAtec at key industry events, conferences, and workshops to build strategic visibility, thought leadership, and stakeholder relationships around the Digital Battery Passport platform, both locally and internationally.
  • Track and analyze key business and market metrics (market adoption signals, pipeline health, partner traction, customer engagement) to continuously optimize go-to-market and growth strategies.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of B2B business development experience with digital platforms or SaaS solutions, ideally in climate tech, sustainability, or the battery ecosystem.
  • Proven experience in value proposition design, customer segmentation, and go-to-market strategy execution.
  • Familiarity with the battery value chain across manufacturers (cell, module, pack), OEMs, recyclers, remanufacturers, second-life operators, and other circular economy stakeholders
  • Understanding of Battery Passport–related regulations and standards (e.g., EU Battery Regulation, GS1, ESPR, EUBW); familiarity with LCA and ESG frameworks is considered a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of digital platform concepts and data-driven business models (APIs, data security, cloud-based platforms).
  • Interest in or exposure to battery technologies, Digital Battery Passports, IoT, and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
  • Ability to bridge market insight with storytelling, translating complex technical and regulatory topics into clear and compelling customer value.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong track record in building trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in preparing persuasive presentations, business proposals, and stakeholder communications for both technical and non-technical audiences.
