The Opportunity with McKinstry
We’re hiring a Receiving Clerk to support manufacturing operations onsite at McKinstry in Spokane. This is a contract role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring materials are accurate, inspected, and ready for production. The estimated duration is 6–12 months, with potential for extension.

We’re hiring a Receiving Clerk to support manufacturing operations onsite at McKinstry in Spokane. This is a contract role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring materials are accurate, inspected, and ready for production. The estimated duration is 6–12 months, with potential for extension.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Inspect incoming materials and shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
- Verify quantities, dimensions, and overall condition of materials
- Identify and document discrepancies, damages, or quality issues
- Enter receiving data into ERP systems accurately
- Coordinate with QA, purchasing, and internal teams to resolve issues
- Ensure materials meet quality standards before being released to production
- Use measuring tools and inspection equipment as needed
- Maintain organized receiving and inspection areas
- Support overall flow of materials within the facility
- 1–3 years of experience in receiving, inspection, warehouse, or similar work
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies
- Comfortable working with basic computer systems or ERP tools
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with different teams
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with quality standards or inspection processes (ASQ or similar)
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings
- Experience using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Forklift certification or experience
- OSHA 10 certification
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings
- Fully onsite role in Spokane
- Active work environment (walking, standing, inspecting materials)
- Team-oriented setting with a focus on quality and accuracy
