The Opportunity with McKinstry

We’re hiring a Receiving Clerk to support manufacturing operations onsite at McKinstry in Spokane. This is a contract role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring materials are accurate, inspected, and ready for production. The estimated duration is 6–12 months, with potential for extension.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Inspect incoming materials and shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Verify quantities, dimensions, and overall condition of materials
  • Identify and document discrepancies, damages, or quality issues
  • Enter receiving data into ERP systems accurately
  • Coordinate with QA, purchasing, and internal teams to resolve issues
  • Ensure materials meet quality standards before being released to production
  • Use measuring tools and inspection equipment as needed
  • Maintain organized receiving and inspection areas
  • Support overall flow of materials within the facility

What You Bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in receiving, inspection, warehouse, or similar work
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies
  • Comfortable working with basic computer systems or ERP tools
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with different teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Familiarity with quality standards or inspection processes (ASQ or similar)
  • Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings
  • Experience using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
  • Forklift certification or experience
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings

This is an hourly contract role, with a pay range of $20.00-$40.00 per hour depending on experience.
