A. BACKGROUND

McJones Energy is an impact-driven climate solutions company converting waste into valuable products to deliver carbon removal. Our work supports regenerative agriculture, renewable energy, and climate adaptation, providing carbon-negative solutions that strengthen food security, ecosystems, and farmer livelihoods.

 

We currently have opportunities for driven National Service personnel to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful projects, gaining hands-on experience in research, process development, and cross-disciplinary collaboration while contributing to a sustainable future.

 

B. FOCUS AREAS (ELIGIBLE DISCIPLINES)

Graduates from the following backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply:

  •  Languages & Communication: English, French, or other language-based disciplines, Communication Studies, Linguistics, International Relations
  • Engineering & Science: Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Agricultural, or Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Physics, Data Sciences
  • Agriculture & Agribusiness: Agriculture, Agronomy, Soil Science, Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Economics, Rural Development

 

 

C. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Selected NSS personnel will support the company across one or more of the following areas:

  • Conduct research and prepare technical, operational, or policy-oriented documentation
  • Support field activities including data collection, trials, surveys, and others
  •  Assist engineering, science, and operations teams in project execution and monitoring
  •  Contribute to reporting, analysis, and knowledge management across ongoing projects
  •  Support communication, outreach, and coordination with partners, farmers, and
  • institutions

  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills
  • Good analytical and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to synthesize information and present findings clearly
  • Willingness to work in both office and field environments
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
  • Interest in sustainability, climate action, agriculture, and development
