About the Role:
The Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial health, accuracy, and integrity of the organization. This role works closely with the CFO, executive team, and business unit leaders to support financial strategy, maintain regulatory compliance, and provide actionable financial insights that drive sustainable growth. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting and finance expertise with strategic thinking and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, multi-year financial plans, and forecasting processes.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CFO and C-suite on financial performance, capital allocation, and risk.
- Identify opportunities to optimize financial performance and support growth initiatives.
Financial Reporting & Controls
- Oversee preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate the annual audit process.
Treasury & Cash Management
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital structure to ensure the organization meets its financial obligations.
- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and investment portfolios.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organization.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team of 8-12 professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- Define clear performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- CPA, CFA, or MBA (or equivalent advanced credential).
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including 4+ years in a director or senior manager role.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proven experience managing budgets in excess of $1OM.
- Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
Preferred
- Experience in a publicly traded company or private equity-backed environment.
- Familiarity with M&A due diligence and integration processes.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional finance transformation initiatives.
- Experience working with a manufacturing company

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
