THE OPPORTUNITY

Maslow is partnered with a large organisation operating globally across multiple industrial markets. As part of its continued investment in sustainability, the business is transforming how environmental information is collected, managed and used.


This newly created position will play a central role in moving the organisation away from manual, spreadsheet-led reporting towards automated, reliable and insight-driven solutions.


Working closely with Sustainability, IT and Digital teams across an international operation, you will have the freedom to shape the data, reporting and business intelligence capability from the ground up, making this an amazing opportunity for someone who really wants to shape their career within a large organisation with huge levels of autonomy and scope for growth.

THE DATA YOU'LL OWN — FOUR CORE AREAS

  • Carbon - Emissions measurement, targets and progress reporting
  • Energy - Consumption, efficiency and the transition to renewable sources
  • Circularity - Materials, waste and opportunities for reuse across the supply chain
  • Water - Consumption, management and operational performance


WHAT YOU'LL DO Data & Governance

  • Collect, connect, transform and validate environmental and operational data from multiple business areas
  • Integrate information from different systems, sites, supply chains and sustainability initiatives
  • Establish clear standards covering data ownership, approvals, definitions, traceability, version control and documentation
  • Improve the consistency, completeness and reliability of sustainability information


Automation & AI

  • Create automated workflows, data pipelines, notebooks, quality controls and exception reporting
  • Develop practical AI-enabled solutions that improve reporting, forecasting, project monitoring and insight generation
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and make sustainability information more accessible
  • Assess digital and AI technologies based on their ability to improve accuracy, visibility and reporting quality


Insight & Reporting

  • Build and continuously improve Power BI dashboards, management information and external reporting outputs
  • Use analytical and statistical methods to identify trends, anomalies, risks and opportunities
  • Develop scenario models to measure progress against environmental and operational targets
  • Produce clear insight across energy efficiency, renewable energy, resource use, process improvement and supply-chain performance


Partnership & Influence

  • Work closely with IT and Digital teams on data architecture, system access and the development of trusted data sources
  • Partner with stakeholders across different business areas to improve data coverage, quality and audit readiness
  • Gather requirements and translate business needs into effective reporting and analytical solutions
  • Present complex information as clear, practical insight for senior and operational stakeholders


WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Degree in data analytics, statistics, computer science, sustainability, engineering, artificial intelligence or a related discipline
  • Typically 3–5 years' relevant experience within data analytics, business intelligence, information systems or engineering
  • Strong experience with Excel, Power BI, data modelling, DAX, SQL, Power Query, APIs, Microsoft Fabric, KPI development and data governance
  • Ability to analyse carbon, energy, waste, water and resource information to identify trends, risks and reporting gaps
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to turn technical information into clear business insight
  • Excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work independently across multiple priorities


Desirable

  • Python experience for data engineering or analysis
  • Experience with the Azure Data Platform
  • Understanding of machine-learning concepts and practical use cases
  • Experience with Copilot Studio and the wider Microsoft Power Platform
  • Workshop facilitation, requirements gathering and change-management experience
