You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced boutique environment with direct client contact and have a track record of producing high-quality regulatory filings and briefs under tight deadlines. FERC, state PUC, or administrative litigation experience is also useful..
You will..
- Represent major utility clients (electric, natural gas, water, telecom) before state public utility commissions and federal agencies including FERC and the FCC
- Draft regulatory filings, briefs, legal memoranda, and correspondence under tight turnarounds — fast, clean writing is essential
- Handle all stages of administrative litigation from initial filing preparation through contested case hearings and agency appeals
- Work directly with partners and clients on rate cases, business acquisitions, siting and permitting, and clean energy compliance matters
- Advise clients on fuel supply, rate design, resource development, and regulatory compliance across Western states
- Support utility transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and local franchising for water and gas companies
