Job Title: Program Coordinator

Full Time – Day Hours Monday through Friday 8-5

Location: Albuquerque NM

POSITION CONCEPT

The Program Coordinator - Energy Efficiency coordinates program deliverables including participation tracking, marketing and promotion design and implementation, and direct engagement with participating vendors, retailers, and contractors. Completes market research and analysis. Directly responsible for customer inquiries on program design, application, and rebate processing. Coordinates project deliverables and prepares performance reports.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assists with the development and management of marketing plans for programs or products including the preparation of scoping documents, financial analysis, market analysis, detailed action plans, communication plans, promotional plans, product distribution plans, training, and budgeting.


  1. Coordinates project deliverables and contract performance of consultants, contractors, and vendors to meet goals.


  1. Coordinates and implements advertising and promotions for assigned programs with internal communications and outside advertising agencies; measures and tracks programs, monitors budget, and prepares performance reports. Ensures alignment with corporate brand guidelines and programs.


  1. Manages all customer inquiries received directly, through Customer Service, or through vendors on program offerings, design, applications, and rebate processing.


  1. Coordinates internal communication regarding program offerings, including preparation and distribution of customer information and marketing materials, and ensuring appropriate team members have access to materials to enhance customer participation and general awareness.


  1. Assists with market research and market development analysis to determine the economic and market potential for energy efficiency programs.


  1. Works directly with internal and external clients including local, state, and regional representatives of various stakeholder organizations such as government, industry, environmental and customer organizations.


RELATIONSHIPS

Key Internal: Accounting, Legal Counsel, Regulatory and Rates, Customer Service, Communications, Supervisors, Managers and Directors.

Key External: Outside Counsel, American Gas Association, and other state, regional and national trade associations, customer advocate groups, and outside vendors for contracting purposes.


QUALIFICATIONS


Education

Required: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, Finance or Accounting


Licenses/Certifications

Required: Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet the acceptable driving record requirements of the Company.


Experience

Required: Three (3) years of experience related to Duties & Responsibilities of the position.

Preferred: Experience in a utility environment.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities(KSA)

Required: Strong understanding and skills with marketing principles and analysis. An understanding of energy utilization fundamentals and a general understanding of a broad range of energy application issues. Ability to conduct reliable market assessment and sizing for energy efficiency programs. Ability to work independently in an ambiguous and changing work environment. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Outlook, and other department specific software, and ability to enter data into more complex spreadsheet with the ability to maintain spreadsheet functionality and data integrity. Must have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred: A strong understanding of the company’s past, present, future, service territory, and guiding principles, rules, regulations, policies, and applicable laws.

Normal office environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand or walk up to 1/3 of the time and regularly required to sit up to 2/3 of the time. Manual dexterity is required to perform computer applications and good vision is required to perform all aspects of the job. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
