Position Overview
Mamoth is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Director of Government Partnerships to lead public-sector growth initiatives. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with municipalities, counties, state agencies, recycling centers, and government officials to expand Mamoth’s electronic waste collection programs across 7 states.
The ideal candidate has experience navigating government procurement processes, building long-term public-sector partnerships, and driving recurring program-based revenue.
? Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue municipal, county, and state-level opportunities for e-waste collection events and recurring recycling programs.
- Develop proposals, RFP responses, and government bid submissions.
- Build and manage a pipeline of public-sector prospects.
- Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and partnership terms.
- Drive recurring revenue through ongoing bin placement and scheduled collection programs.
Government & Community Engagement
- Build relationships with:
- City managers
- Public works directors
- Sustainability coordinators
- County commissioners
- State environmental agencies
- Recycling center operators
- Represent Mamoth at municipal meetings, sustainability forums, and public events.
- Coordinate community e-waste collection events with local governments.
Program Development
- Design scalable municipal recycling programs.
- Establish long-term bin placement initiatives across towns and counties.
- Develop repeatable models for quarterly or annual government collection events.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure service delivery excellence.
Compliance & Procurement
- Navigate government procurement processes and compliance requirements.
- Ensure contracts meet state, local, and environmental regulations.
- Track and manage public-sector documentation and certifications.
Internal Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with operations, logistics, marketing, and compliance teams.
- Provide forecasting and reporting on public-sector revenue.
- Assist marketing in developing government-focused materials and case studies.
? Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3–7+ years in public-sector sales, government relations, or municipal partnerships
- Experience responding to RFPs and navigating government procurement
- Background in environmental services, waste management, recycling, ITAD, or sustainability preferred
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Comfortable engaging with elected officials and public administrators
- Self-starter with ability to build a territory from scratch
