Construction Project Manager – Energy Services - Contract-to-hire
Willing to accept candidates open to relocating in the Greater Richmond Region*
This role focuses on commercial energy services projects for large clients and offers strong ownership, autonomy, and growth.
What You’ll Do
- Manage commercial energy services projects from planning through completion
- Own project schedules, budgets, and financial performance
- Coordinate across engineering, construction, operations, and finance teams
- Communicate project updates, risks, and results to clients and leadership
- Lead project teams and oversee subcontractors as needed
- Support project risk reviews and continuous improvement efforts
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of project management experience in commercial construction
- Experience in energy services / ESCO / MEP / mechanical or electrical construction
- Strong financial skills, including budgeting and forecasting
- Experience working with a General Contractor or major mechanical subcontractor
- Comfortable managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Required Skills
- Microsoft Project (scheduling)
- Microsoft Excel and Office tools
- Construction financial systems (Procore, Viewpoint, CMiC, or similar)
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or equivalent experience
- Certifications such as PE, LEED, CEM, CPM are a plus
