Construction Project Manager – Energy Services - Contract-to-hire


Willing to accept candidates open to relocating in the Greater Richmond Region*



This role focuses on commercial energy services projects for large clients and offers strong ownership, autonomy, and growth.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage commercial energy services projects from planning through completion
  • Own project schedules, budgets, and financial performance
  • Coordinate across engineering, construction, operations, and finance teams
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and results to clients and leadership
  • Lead project teams and oversee subcontractors as needed
  • Support project risk reviews and continuous improvement efforts


What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of project management experience in commercial construction
  • Experience in energy services / ESCO / MEP / mechanical or electrical construction
  • Strong financial skills, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience working with a General Contractor or major mechanical subcontractor
  • Comfortable managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills


Required Skills

  • Microsoft Project (scheduling)
  • Microsoft Excel and Office tools
  • Construction financial systems (Procore, Viewpoint, CMiC, or similar)


Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or equivalent experience
  • Certifications such as PE, LEED, CEM, CPM are a plus
