Senior Estimator - HVAC, Plumbing & Mechanical Piping We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Estimator to lead the preparation of bids and proposals for HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects. Prepare estimates for conceptual and design-stage projects, including system design and pricing. Perform design calculations and develop specifications for equipment and materials. Build and maintain relationships with general contractors and client purchasing teams. Independently approve costs for estimates under $1M and 5,000 man-hours. Engage suppliers and subcontractors for bid pricing and scope clarification. Review and incorporate vendor and subcontractor quotes into final estimates. Customize and balance bid templates as required by project specifications. Attend pre-bid site visits, setup meetings, and project turnover sessions. Submit labor budgets for awarded projects. Order project drawings and bid bonds. Supervise and mentor junior estimators and trainees. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents. Strong understanding of plumbing and mechanical code requirements. Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., AutoBid, Excel, Bluebeam).
