We are working with a fast-growing renewable energy developer in Atlanta who are looking for an In-House Counsel to join their legal team, focusing on project finance and energy transactions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a transactional lawyer who enjoys working at the heart of complex energy deals, partnering closely with senior leadership, and building real expertise within a high-growth business at the centre of the energy transition.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the primary internal legal advisor on project finance and energy transactions across a growing portfolio of renewable energy projects
  • Leading legal support across a range of financing structures including debt facilities, equity arrangements, and construction finance
  • Drafting and negotiating financing agreements, credit arrangements, and related transaction documentation
  • Managing ongoing compliance obligations across active financing facilities — including notices, consents, and covenant management
  • Conducting legal due diligence and advising on risk across the project portfolio
  • Collaborating with external counsel from deal inception through to closing
  • Partnering cross-functionally with finance, development, and operations teams across the business
  • Providing occasional dispute and litigation support as required

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Transactional legal experience, ideally within project finance, structured finance, or corporate finance
  • Experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, power, or a related industry is preferred but not essential
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • The confidence to advise and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach with sound business judgment
  • In-house or law firm background will be considered
