Electrical Design Engineer – Advanced Energy Systems

A growing engineering-focused technology company is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support development of next-generation industrial power systems. This is a highly hands-on role focused on electrical design, system integration, testing, and product development within a complex hardware environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on large-scale electrical systems and be comfortable owning projects from concept design through verification and release.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, panels, and enclosures for industrial equipment
  • Support product development from concept through testing and validation
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on system integration
  • Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, and verification testing
  • Support power distribution, safety systems, and electrical integration activities

Desired Background

  • 5+ years of electrical design engineering experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience working with complex electrical or power systems
  • Experience supporting full product lifecycle development
  • Backgrounds in industrial equipment, energy systems, power generation, or related industries are highly desirable
  • Experience with power conversion or large-scale electrical systems is a plus

Technical Experience

Experience with several of the following is preferred:

  • Electrical panels and enclosures
  • Power systems
  • DC power systems and converters
  • Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
  • Safety systems
  • System-level electrical integration
  • Verification and validation testing

Preferred Software Experience

  • AutoCAD
  • Creo
  • ETAP
  • Visio
  • Excel
  • Electrical design software tools

What They Are NOT Looking For

  • PCB-focused backgrounds
  • Software-heavy engineering profiles
  • Primarily PLC programming experience
  • Engineers focused solely on small-scale electronics
