Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Energy & Battery AI (Climate Tech Startup)
We’re partnering with a fast-growing climate technology startup applying machine learning to real-world energy and battery systems. This team is building production-grade AI models that directly impact how energy is stored, optimized, and deployed at scale.
You’ll join a small, highly technical team working at the intersection of machine learning, energy systems, and battery technology. This is an opportunity to work on applied ML problems with tangible climate impact, not academic research projects.

What you'll be working on:
- Designing and deploying machine learning models for energy, battery, or industrial optimization use cases
- Building production ML pipelines using modern tooling (cloud infrastructure, ML platforms, data pipelines)
- Working with large-scale time-series, sensor, or operational datasets
- Partnering closely with software, data, and domain experts to productionize models
- Improving model performance, monitoring, and reliability in real-world environments
Required Experience
- 4+ years of professional experience in machine learning or applied data science
- Strong Python experience and hands-on ML development (PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost, or similar)
- Experience deploying models into production environments
- Solid understanding of data pipelines, model monitoring, and ML lifecycle management
- Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Base Salary: $160k – $210k (depending on experience)
