Position Summary:

We are looking for a Lead Battery Electrical Engineer to spearhead the design, integration, and validation of high-voltage battery systems specifically for electric vehicles. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for crafting and enhancing the electrical architecture of battery packs, ensuring they conform to performance, safety, and regulatory standards. This position demands exceptional technical leadership, collaboration across various functions, and a comprehensive understanding of electric vehicle battery technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Design high-voltage (400-800V) battery electrical systems, including BMS, fusing, and contactors.
  • Lead PCB design initiatives, circuit protection, and system simulations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262, UL 2580, SAE, and UN38.3.
  • Support the seamless integration with EV powertrains, chargers, and thermal management systems.
  • Oversee testing, validation, and supplier coordination to maintain high quality.
  • Mentor junior engineers and champion a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical design, with at least 4 years specifically in EV battery systems.
  • Proficiency in BMS design, CAN protocols, and high-voltage safety measures.
  • Experience using tools such as Altium/OrCAD, Simulink, and various lab testing equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of functional safety and electrical vehicle industry standards.
