Channel Planner
Lucid is seeking a Channel Planner to support the after-sales organization for Service Parts and Accessories. This role will be responsible for managing the allocation of direct materials for various channels to create an efficient Available-to-Promise strategy. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively collaborate with the service part distribution centers, field service operations and service material/demand planning teams. The objective of the allocation strategy is to improve our inventory stocking models and increase availability of service parts nearest to point-of-use while ensuring customer satisfaction at the highest levels.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the allocation of orders in the most effective way to all channels with the aim to reduce logistics costs through consolidation of warehouse picking, shipping and optimizing outbound shipments for available inventory.
- Analyze historical usage and regional demand at all levels of the service distribution network for predictive forecasting of inventory positioning.
- Be a change agent by building confidence and relationships with cross-functional business units, drive effective communication for alignment on recommended allocation strategy and evaluate opportunities and risks.
- Execute creation, modification, transfer and consolidation of global orders to improve supply availability and reduce cost of operation.
- Identify and support development of system tools to maximize efficiency of planning functions.
- Collaborate with Data Analytics to develop reporting tools to resolve inventory challenges and automate data to help influence downstream processes.
- Design and monitor forecast metrics at all aggregation levels and provide timely feedback to demand planners.
- Manage positioning of new products and create alignment across business channels and markets.
- Support management with status of service parts availability, potential backorders and solution proposals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in planning, materials management, or supply-chain planning in a manufacturing company.
- Proficient in MS Excel, SQL, Tableau and other visualization tools. Ability to interpret and analyze large data sets, draw conclusions/insights and make recommendations to management for solving business problems.
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks based on demand despite changes in work scope or focus.
- Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude with the ability to think outside the box for solutions to complex challenges.
- Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a passion for being hands-on in their work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and comfortable communicating with leadership.
