We are currently seeking an experienced Sr. Manager, Security Architecture & Engineering who will work directly with the Senior Director of Cybersecurity & Compliance to design and support efforts to secure Lucid's critical IT assets and processes. The Sr. Manager, Security Architecture & Engineering is a hands-on role and will be responsible for overseeing Lucid's cybersecurity architecture and engineering including but not limited to network security, application security, host security, operational / manufacturing security, infrastructure and cloud security, and data loss protection.

Role:

  • Oversees the planning, budgeting and directing of all Security Architecture activities across the team.
  • Drives the overall security strategy for network, application, host, infrastructure and cloud technologies.
  • Enhances organizational-wide strategy and processes for the protection of data throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Oversees, develops, and continuously improves the application security program.
    • Drives the adoption of consistent security architecture practices across the organization.
  • Define and oversee implementation of security requirements and practices for cloud-based applications.
  • Maintains and approves security architecture-related policies and standards, including requirements for detailed configuration baselines.
  • Coordinates with IT, manufacturing, and business stakeholders to integrate security architecture principles and standards throughout the organization.
  • Oversees the planning and implementation of security systems by evaluating network, application, host, operational/manufacturing, infrastructure and cloud technologies to ensure compliance with regulatory needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience of managing, consulting, or working in the areas of network security, security architecture, application security, host/endpoint security, infrastructure security, cloud security, and data loss protection
  • 8+ years system architecture design and architecture with the technologies and experience implementing a wide range of cloud services and enterprise solutions.
  • 5+ years leading teams in design, solution evaluation, processes definition, documentation for peer review, implementation, and achievement of quantified security improvement.
  • Certified in one or more of the following: Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), GIAC Defensible Security Architect (GDSA), CISSP, SANS, ITIL, ISO27001

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to delegate work to team members and provide clear and effective guidance on implementation of processes.
  • Ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Automobile and/or manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
  • Post Graduate degree a plus.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
  • California (Bay Area) - $165,000 - $236,500

The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
