The Autonomous Driving (AD) team in Lucid is currently seeking a talented candidate to be responsible for Autonomous Driving system and architecture design, strategy, and development plans. This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of successfully bringing new automotive AD features into production.

Role Responsibilities

    • Design, prototype, engineer, test, release, and launch state-of-the-art Advanced Autonomous Driving features.
    • Contribute to perception software, sensor fusion, localization, motion planning and control, software architecture, and data engineering for Advanced AD systems.
    • Drive software specifications with innovative ideas to elevate each ADAS/AD feature, delivering an unparalleled premium experience.
    • Lead the rapid prototyping of systems to swiftly demonstrate proof of concept.
    • Monitor and analyze trends in the AD domain and suppliers' technology landscape.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and robust implementation and deployment of Advanced AD products.
    • Contribute to AD software development, roadmap creation, strategic planning, and production rollout strategies.

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's in computer science, computer engineer, electrical engineer
    • 8+ years of relevant experience in software development, release processes, and AD technology development and deployment.
    • Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python programming languages.
    • Demonstrated success in AD business planning, technical roadmap development, software development, and production integration.
    • Solid understanding of complex AD software system design and architecture principles.
    • Experience with automotive supplier and partner interactions, specification development, project/release management, and change management.
    • Ability to generate innovative solutions and drive projects in dynamic and innovative startup environments.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's degree with 10+ years of industry experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics. Additionally, candidates with a Ph.D. degree are preferred, and they should have at least 4 years of industry experience in a related field.
    • Familiarity with ROS or other middleware systems and automotive software design lifecycle.
    • Experience working with real-time sensors relevant to Autonomous Driving.
    • Working experience in one or more fields of localization, HD map, Road Experience Management and SLAM for AD related concept advanced software design (PoC Design).
    • Proficiency in agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
    • Knowledge of applicable safety standards and regulations (ASPICE, ISO 26262, ASIL D, etc), industry benchmarks, and customer requirements.
    • Previous experience in automotive supplier interactions, specification development, release management, and new business development.
