Sr. Electrical Engineer, Power Electronics Test & Validation
We are currently seeking a Sr. Engineer for our Test & Validation Power Electronics team. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly, and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and qualifications
- Strong understanding of power electronics topologies and control.
- Review schematic, PCB designs, calculation and simulation of power electronics converters.
- Conduct the verification and validation tests for power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with industry and requirements.
- Strong hands-on and trouble-shooting skills in testing and verifications of power electronics systems, including the use of lab equipment (battery simulators, power supplies, E-loads, scope, etc.).
- Capability to analyze root-cause of the power electronics system and drive R&D activities independently.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
Preferred qualifications
- Masters or Ph. D degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in power electronics development and testing.
- Solid understanding power electronics fundamentals.
- Knowledge of automotive and industrial environmental reliability requirements (GMW, ISO, IEC standards).
