We are currently seeking an Adhesive Engineer. This position requires an experienced professional with a deep knowledge of structural joining solutions, focusing on adhesives. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.


The Role:

  • Develop and validate state of the art structural joining solutions, specializing in adhesives
  • Specify pre-treatment and process specifications for various structural adhesive solutions
  • Evaluate & implement adhesive materials to improve module attributes
  • Coordinate CAE and physical validation testing

Qualifications:

  • A proven track of record in developing exceptional structural adhesive and joining solutions
  • Knowledge of pre-treatment and adhesive systems for aluminum and multi material structures
  • Experience of mechanical joining methods – flow drill, SPR, rivet and welding systems
  • In-depth knowledge of aluminum and steel alloys as well as polymer materials
  • Specification development experience
  • A self-driven approach to pushing the limits of engineering, and develop technologies

Preferred:

  • Experience with Catia V5/V6 is preferred but not essential

Education:

Bachelor's in mechanical engineering with 5 years of experience; A masters with 3 years of experience or a PhD.
