The posted salary range reflectscompensation for our Newark, CA office. This role requires employees to be onsite five days a week.
Role:
- Transform complex real-world corner case problems into scalable, parallelized solutions
- Implement and maintain real-time trajectory planning in dynamic environments
- Construct and prototype advanced machine learning algorithms for data-driven parking behavior
- Design, implement, test, and release different level of safety features for Lucid production programs
- Evaluate and improve the performance of parking motion planner software stack using simulation and in-vehicle testing
- Optimize parking planner software stack by profiling and identifying bottleneck
- Work closely with other teams to ensure a seamless and robust implementation and deployment of motion planning products for autonomous parking systems
- Support the production verification and validation of the motion planning algorithms using prototype vehicles and pre-production vehicles
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Robotics, ML or equivalent experience
- Experiences implementing production level trajectory planning software modules
- Proficiency in C++ and hands-on SWE design skills
- Comfortable with fundamentals of physics, kinematics, and dynamics
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters or higher degree preferably in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field
- Experience in AV motion planning and vehicle controls
- Experience developing real-time systems
- Hands-on experience testing complex AV systems on real-world platforms
- Familiarity with Python, PyTorch, TensorRT, ROS2, QNX, git, CI/CD
