We are currently seeking an intern for our CMF Design team. This position requires a passionate student with a good understanding of current trends in fashion, product, and furniture design, 2D visualization skills, and a passion for EVs. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Research Trends: Assist in gathering information on current color, material, and finish trends through market research and analysis
  • Create Mood Boards: Help develop mood boards and visual presentations to communicate design concepts and inspiration
  • Material Samples: Organize and manage material samples, ensuring they are well-documented and accessible for the design team
  • Design Support: Collaborate with designers on projects, providing support in color selection and finish applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using 3D tools such as Autodesk Alias, Vred, Unreal Engine
  • Passionate about working on projects related to sustainability
  • Experience using design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrate, and the Microsoft
  • Great line of communication and ability to work cross-collaboratively
  • Familiarity with various materials and their properties, including sustainability considerations
  • Knowledge of different surface treatments and their visual and tactile effects

Education:

  • Field(s)of study: Transportation Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Textile Design Product/Industrial Design, or related fields
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited university
  • Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS)

Information:

  • Location: This position is in Newark, CA. You must be prepared to start onsite for your first day of employment.
  • Availability: Full-time is preferred
  • Anticipated Hours: 9.00am – 5:30pm
  • Work Environment: Fully in office
  • Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable.
  • Visa Sponsorship: Lucid may but is not obligated to sponsor foreign national employees requiring company sponsorship for U.S employment authorization.
  • Medical Benefits: Dental and vision on day 1 for all interns working 30+ hours a week; medical for interns in California working 30+ hours a week.
  • Housing/Transportation: You must provide your own living arrangements and transportation in the local area.
  • Background Check: All offers of employment are contingent on clearing a background check
