We are currently seeking a HW Design Validation Test Engineer. This position requires an experienced professional to work directly with Infotainment Test & Validation team to accomplish DVP on time. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

  • Report to Test and Validation team and will be responsible for developing test plan, component level test (DVT) and setting up, testing and reporting all the results to the infotainment and controls teams.
  • Qualifications:
  • Collaborate with HW Design Engineers to develop and execute hardware verification test plans
  • Board level functional testing
  • Design, build and program test systems used in HW testing as well generate automated reports tracking test results
  • Upload test setups, test plans and results into confluence and JIRA
  • Create test sequences to verify performance and limitations of ECUs
  • Contribute with design team to resolve problems and develop corrective action
  • Analyzes test results and test data to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
  • Research advanced measurement techniques

Advantageous:

  • Experience in testing of Digital and Analog/Mixed signal circuits
  • Experience using measurement and test instruments such as DAQ, oscilloscope, power supplies
  • Ability to generate test cases to validate product requirements
  • Experience designing and analyzing test procedures to minimize measurement error
  • Proficiency with measurement automation tools and scripting languages such as Python
  • Familiarity and experience working with Ethernet, FPD link, CAN, LIN, RS232
  • EMC/EMI is a plus

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (MS preferred)
    • At least 3 years of experience in HW testing (Automotive is a plus)
    The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

    Bay Area: $104,000 - $143,000
    Additional Compensation and Benefits:
    Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
