We are currently seeking a Feature Owner to take responsibility of the ADAS driving features in the ADAS/AD team. This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of successfully bringing new automotive (ADAS) software features into production. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the timely delivery of fully validated, high-quality customer features.
  • Conceptualize, prototype and launch cutting-edge ADAS/AD driving features, such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Highway Assist and Lane Change Assist.
  • Create and manage feature roadmaps for multiple vehicle program line and get buy-in from stakeholders such as marketing, homologation and other teams.
  • Be the voice of customer and represent the feature in all communications with stakeholders.
  • Develop the feature definitions, use cases, functional requirements and target performances.
  • Work with Functional Safety Engineers on analysis of feature and system requirements to ensure compliance with ISO 26262.
  • Drive the feature specification with creative ideas together with the UX/UI design team to bring each feature to the next level providing a best-in-class premium experience.
  • Lead usability studies with UX/UI team to finalize the feature user experience.
  • Work closely with Tier 1 suppliers and internal teams to implement innovative solutions
  • Benchmark competitive vehicles to stay up to date with latest market trends and technology
  • Work cross functionally to ensure good communication in order to achieve seamless and robust feature development and delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in the areas of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Proven track record of bringing automotive ADAS/AD customer features into production
  • Experience with automotive supplier interaction, specification development, project/release management, change management
  • Expertise in use case development and requirements engineering
  • Expertise in creating and managing complex hardware-software systems
  • Ability to present results and achievements to a non-expert audience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven track record of technical excellence
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools (JAMA, DOORS, etc.)
  • Proficiency with agile development tools such as JIRA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in the areas of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics
  • 3 years of work experience, ideally in the automotive field
  • Experience with radar and/or LiDAR sensors, as well as camera systems for human-vision and/or machine-vision applications
  • Previous experience with ADAS/AD driving features at a Tier 1 or OEM
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and applicable (safety) standards for typical ADAS features (e.g. ASPICE, ISO26262, SOTIF, FMVSS, EuroNCAP, ISO standards)
  • ADAS software development experience
  • Experience in component and system integration, testing and verification on system and vehicle level
  • Knowledge of in-vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
  • Experience with feature level project management
Salary Range:
The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

California (Bay Area) - $127,000 - $165,000

The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
