You Will:
- Conduct vibration, mechanical, environmental, thermal and electrical, testing to assess reliability, functionality and safety
- Design and develop custom vibration test fixtures, creating detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings, selecting appropriate materials
- Design and set up test benches including jigs and fixtures, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems for performance evaluation
- Support development of Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) for high-voltage distribution components, including charge port, connectors and harnesses
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure investigations, collaborating with design, firmware, mechanical and manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
You Bring:
- 0-3 years of experience in testing high-voltage distribution systems, preferably in the automotive or EV industry
- Experience with CATIA or equivalent for 3D modeling
- Hands-on experience with environmental testing, including vibration, thermal cycling, and ingress protection (IP rating) tests.
- Highly organized professional with the ability to maintain project schedules and track status to ensure timely completion and efficiency
- The capability to scientifically analyze verification results and define R&D activities
- Good Hands-on experience for hardware test and validation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiar with various equipment (force gauge, thermocouples, power supplies, multimeter, hi-pot tester, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50lb equipment
Advantageous:
- Knowledge of automotive standards ( ISO 19453, UL 9741, UL 2251, USCAR, GMW 3172, etc.)
- Used Jira for project and work management
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
