Position Overview:

The Mechanical repair technician must perform diagnostic, mechanical repairs and fitment on Lucid vehicles, utilizing Lucid-approved procedures, tools, and systems to ensure compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Must be able to perform under pressure, remain dynamic and understand urgency.

The Repair Technician must be able to practice teamwork and team building within our organization. Ability to follow standards and meet business requirements. Responsibilities will include assessing vehicle defects, carrying out repair work including body alignment, and replacing damaged parts. You should be skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools and have a keen eye for detail.


The Role:

  • Ensure to follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing process /initiatives to eliminate waste.
  • Create an environment where every employee is valued for their contributions, and they understand how they impact the success of the company.
  • Implement quality verification standards and control plans to ensure vehicle conformity and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Understand and utilize resources to get aligned with customer requirements and vehicle audit referential.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software (e.g., manufacturer scan tools) to accurately identify faults in suspension, braking, electrical/electronic systems, HVAC, and drivetrain.
  • Disassemble, repair, or replace components in line with Lucid repair manuals and procedures adhering to torque specifications.
  • Perform pre- and post-repair inspections and test drives to verify issue resolution and system integrity.
  • Update and close work orders after verifying all systems comply with Lucid specifications and zero-defect standards.
  • Maintain shop tools and equipment (scanners, calibration tools, lifts), enforcing preventative maintenance protocols.
  • Keep work areas organized, clean, and safety-compliant
  • Identify, order, and track parts and materials; manage handling of parts follow Quality standards and MRB processing.
  • Follow Lucid safety protocols, PPE guidelines, and environmental regulations; ensure proper handling/disposal of fluids, batteries, and hazardous materials.
  • Skilled in diagnosing faults in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems
  • Familiarity with OEM software, diagnostic workflows, torque specs, and wiring diagram
  • Explain issues, repairs, and preventive recommendations to Supervisor for root cause analysis.
  • Flexible in supporting other repair functions when business requires.
  • Ensure PDI and Handover activities to ensure Safety, Quality & Delivery are being met.
  • Track vehicle processing to ensure readiness for handover within the agreed ETA date.
  • Ensure reactivity to issues, obstacles and constraints and report out results to Supervisor for swift escalation.
  • Track inventory/parts ordering in repair area with associated reaction and escalation.
  • Implement cars hold and release when required.
  • Ensure repair confirmation for vehicles are done following process.
  • Ensure coordination with OTA/Software team for Software updates.
  • Ensure coordination with repair flow for vehicles readiness.
  • Ensure full use of Sales Force Application for vehicle tracking, status update and records.
  • Forge excellent cross-functional relationships between Manufacturing, engineering, and other relevant departments.

The Qualifications:


  • Technical Diploma with 5 years’ experience in automotive Industry or equivalent role Is required.
  • English Language functional literacy. Arabic Is a plus.
  • Automotive/Manufacturing/Repair experience is a must.
  • Strong ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Good verbal, written skills.
  • Ability to understand and use improvement/reaction plans to achieve targets.
  • Familiarity with OEM quality inspection processes and standards.
  • Ability to spot problems and errors and resolve issues with the appropriate department.
  • Detail oriented with strong record keeping and organizational skills.

Skills:


  • Knowledge of MS Office tools (MS-Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Creative, energetic, self-motivated and highly organized.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an eye for accuracy and attention to details.
  • Experience using Sales Force application is a plus.
  • Experience using Manufacturing Execution System is a plus.
