Systems Engineer (2nd Shift)
The Systems Engineer role involves working on systems infrastructure projects, deploying and troubleshooting technologies like VMware, Linux, Windows, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP, while supporting second shift hours.
Responsibilities:
- Operate on infrastructure projects pertaining to systems infrastructure.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot systems technologies such as VMware vSphere/Horizon, Virtualization/Citrix, Linux, Windows, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Continually analyze and work to improve the quality of services offered by IT.
- Participate in ongoing technology evaluations and keep up with technology trends and industry standards.
- Suggest improvements based on technology, best practices, or changing requirements.
- Position will be supporting second shift.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years' experience with Windows and Linux Servers.
- 3-5+ years' of hands-on VMware Hypervisors.
- 3-5+ years' experience supporting large Enterprise service deployments for back-office services such as DNS/DHCP, Active Directory, Azure AD, MFA, File services, Printing services, Email services across multiple domains, Office 365, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hypervisors such as VMware 8, VCF.
- Multiplatform systems administration in Windows and Linux.
- Virtual Desktop and/or Virtual Application delivery, especially Horizon and Citrix.
- AWS, and Kubernetes experience a plus.
- Scripting language and platform experience, such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, with platforms such as Ansible or Terraform.
