The Pre Delivery Supervisor position will lead the day-to-day operations at our plant in Casa Grande, AZ. In this position you will lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing on the plant floor. This is a unique opportunity to set up and run a world class plant to build a world class vehicle.
You Will:
- Develop organizational plans and recruit, hire and manage the production team.
- Supervise production team members during prototype and SOP builds and interface with Manufacturing and Quality Engineers to address relevant issues, team needs and process improvement that impact the manufacturability of the vehicle.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing process to eliminate waste.
- Create an environment where every employee is valued for their contributions, and they understand how they impact the success of the company.
- Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
- Drive world class quality for our luxury vehicle through in station process control and driving defect resolution to the point of fit.
- Lead the team in putting a process in place to control expenses and increase productivity throughout the department.
- Create & modify quality standards to ensure an increase in detectability.
- Manage abnormalities that occur daily and work with the productive areas to improve quality.
- Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
- Monitor Andon occurrences. Be the first responder as secondary support
- Through Process Confirmation, verify that the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality
- Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution to the lowest level of the organization
- Communication and recognition
- Build Team Leader and Team Member capability
- Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
- Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
- Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives
- Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently
- Support concern resolution with cross-functional teams, including the Quality department, production(manufacturing), and Incoming Quality.
- Ensure that each call on the pre-delivery line has a proper ICA/PCA and activate reaction plans when necessary.
- Develop and implement training plans for team leaders and team members.
- Set production goals and communicate them to the team.
You Bring:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work on second shift as well as rotating shifts (if necessary) and weekends
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Capable of assigning work to hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
- Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate Lucid values combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
