Lucid Motors is currently seeking a Low Voltage Systems Engineer. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Solve complex component/system level problems using standard problem-solving techniques
  • Data driven proactive problem solving & issue avoidance due to process deviations or critical part quality issues.
  • Responsible for design intent assembly requirements of Low voltage/Lighting system & Enforcement on the assembly line
  • Troubleshoot low voltage issues including but not limited to CAN/Ethernet/Lin network
  • Good understanding of Power distribution and grounding strategy
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D harness drawing and schematic
  • Support design team in finding solution for general assembly issues

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in mechanical, Electrical or automotive, MS preferred.
  • 1-3 years automotive experience in design and release and/or vehicle attributes.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing plants OEM or Tier1
  • Experience in harness manufacturing or harness design
  • Previously participated in prototype builds or launch events.
  • Knowledge of 12v harness, ECUs, software flashing, including troubleshooting.
  • ability to perform continuity checks and work a Multimeter
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills are required using Atlassian products.
  • Travel is required between the factory in Casa Grande, AZ and Engineering HQ in Newark, CA on as needed basis.

Preferred:

  • Engineering in training/ Engineering fundamentals Certification.
