Jr. Manufacturing Technician
The Jr Manufacturing Technician will be responsible to provide support to the daily operation, minimize production downtime, and solving technical issues related with torque systems on production of Company's world-class vehicles. Excellent attendance is crucial for team to achieve success. She/he must have the ability to work with various departments. They will also be required to work closely with engineering, quality, and suppliers in various aspects of the overall manufacturing process. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an absolute requirement to establish effective working relationships within Company and outside.
You Will:
- Provide technical support and guidance on fastening-related matters
- Support with troubleshooting for basic issues related with the fastening system.
- Follow standardized procedures and ensure adherence to quality control standards.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and adapt to new environments.
- Comfortable learning recent technology
- Flexibility to support any shift including day, night, and swing shifts, as needed. Weekend and holiday work may be required.
- Perform Line audits to confirm assurance of basic standards such as labels, sockets, tooling inspection and preventive maintenance)
- Punctuality and attendance are paramount.
- Ability to follow a required specific sequence of steps in a process repetitively for an extended period.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Provide support on data interpretation for Quality related issues
- Work as an integral part of the Production Fastening Team to ensure smooth operations and efficient output.
- Collaborate with different departments to meet production goals.
- Support line calls for torque system.
- Responsible for performing torque surveillance procedure and report.
- Conduct calibration for several types of Torque systems per WIS
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers to support process change implementations.
- Setup, install and maintain Torque equipment to meet quality goals.
- Responsible for implementing reaction plan for systems damage according to GA (General Assembly) procedures.
- Work with Fastening Engineers to inventory torque systems, accessories, and spares.
- Strictly adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment for all staff members.
- Adherence to Environmental Health and Safety standards including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by job assignment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regular equipment maintenance and cleaning.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of Fastening processes and identify opportunities for increased efficiency.
Preferred:
- Can do Attitude to give support to production team members and team leads.
- Sence of urgency to attend calls from the productive lines.
- Computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
- Must be able to follow and complete work instructions properly.
- Perform product and process audits
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve technical issues
You Bring:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have command of the English language both written & verbal.
