About Louth Callan

Louth Callan is a construction-driven clean energy company delivering high-quality renewable infrastructure at below-market costs. As we expand into geothermal ground loop systems and enhanced geothermal (EGS), a fast-growing segment of the heating and cooling decarbonization movement, we’re building a team to drive mass adoption of geoexchange systems across commercial, institutional, and industrial applications.

Position Summary

We are seeking a visionary, hands-on Geothermal Project Developer to help scale-up in the ground-source geothermal market. This role is ideal for a sales individual who understands both the technical and commercial value of ground loop systems and can drive market penetration through strategic partnerships, project origination, and relationship-building across real estate, institutional, IPPs, development and utility sectors. You will work closely with the geothermal operations team to convert opportunities into delivered projects, helping Louth Callan become a go-to partner for energy-efficient, low-carbon geothermal infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Go-to-Market Strategy & Origination

  • Develop and execute Louth Callan’s business development strategy for geothermal ground loop systems across commercial buildings, schools, campuses, hospitals, and municipalities.
  • Develop and execute Louth Callan’s business development strategy for securing construction contracts for geothermal systems across developers and asset owners.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities in both new construction and retrofit markets.
  • Target and build relationships with developers, architects, mechanical contractors, property owners, and energy service companies (ESCOs).

Partnership & Channel Development

  • Forge strategic alliances with HVAC design firms, real estate investment groups, utilities, IPPs and government agencies.
  • Pursue anchor clients for multi-site programs (e.g., school districts, university systems, military bases).
  • Evaluate and develop channel strategies including public-private partnerships (P3), turnkey EPC, and ESCO models.

Commercial Structuring

  • Lead negotiations for long-term service agreements, lease models, or thermal energy supply contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on pricing strategies, value engineering, and proposal generation.
  • Work with the finance team to structure viable project models, including PACE financing, IRA incentives, utility rebates, or green bonds.

Pipeline & Sales Enablement

  • Maintain a dynamic project pipeline through CRM systems and reporting dashboards.
  • Guide pre-sales efforts including site qualification, conceptual design, and proposal scoping.
  • Represent Louth Callan at industry events, sustainability forums, and client workshops.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Energy Systems, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in energy infrastructure business development, with at least 3 years in ground-source geothermal, HVAC, or distributed thermal systems.
  • Strong network in commercial real estate, institutional facilities, or energy services sectors.
  • Familiarity with ground loop technologies, heat pumps, thermal energy networks, and lifecycle cost modeling.
  • Experience securing deals involving public funding, tax credits, or energy performance contracts is a major plus.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and deal-closing skills.
  • Comfortable traveling up to 30% for client meetings, project assessments, and industry events.

Why Louth Callan?

  • Join a rapidly growing firm building the next generation of clean energy infrastructure.
  • Be at the forefront of thermal decarbonization and electrification of buildings.
  • Competitive compensation package with salary, bonus, equity opportunities, and full benefits.
  • Direct influence on the company’s geothermal direction and national project portfolio.
