The LDES Council is a global non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the decarbonisation of our world through the acceleration of long-duration energy storage. Our members and Board are made up of executives and business leaders from leading energy companies, technology providers, investors, and end-users. We provide member-driven, fact-based guidance and research on the deployment of long-duration energy storage for society's benefit.
Up to 8 TW of LDES is needed globally by 2040 to support the lowest cost pathway to net zero, but policy is fragmented and often insufficient to enable the investment that is needed to deliver LDES at this scale.
The LDES Council is hiring an Administrative Assistant based in India to support the Policy and Markets team. In this role, you will work with the LDES Council Policy and Markets team and provide administrative support to primarily priority countries and regions.
Reporting to: Events and Operations Manager
Location: India (New Delhi preferred)
Contract type: full-time
Start date: ASAP
Compensation: INR 35k per month
Purpose of the Role
Provide reliable administrative, logistics and operations support to ensure smooth functioning of LDES Council engagements including meetings, events organized by LDES Council, external events participation, member visits co-ordination, or any other coordination/ support role prescribed.
Key Responsibilities and deliverables
- Office administration: Calendar and travel management, visitor and member coordination, vendor liaison, expense processing, procurement coordination (quotes/POs), and keeping track of planned engagements and meetings, follow up with Central and State level stakeholders, prospective members engaged.
- Database maintenance: Maintain list of prospective members in designated regions and set up introductory engagements for LDES Council team. Regular communication and follow-up on engagements.
- Event & meeting logistics: Invites/ RSVPs, registrations, materials, and onsite coordination for external events; support for international delegations.
- Documentation and Communication: Draft letters and minutes, maintain filing systems, templates and checklists; ensure compliance with data retention. Maintain contact lists, support newsletters/mail merges and basic website/ social media updates with comms team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate with 2–5 years’ experience as admin/operations/executive assistant, ideally in non-profit/association or consulting environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; proficiency with MS Office/Google Workspace; experience with CRM (preferably Salesforce) and basic data entry desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and time management skills; discretion and professionalism.
