Green/Circular Economy Expert
Job Description
Living Prospects Ltd, with offices in Athens, Corfu, and Brussels, has many years of experience in designing and implementing EU-funded projects related to the green economy, particularly in the fields of energy, climate change, circular economy, tourism, and agriculture. We collaborate with international donors, universities, public agencies, research institutes, and companies within and outside Greece. Our headquarters are located in a newly built, modern bioclimatic building near the Agios Ioannis metro station (Dafni–Ymittos area).
Position
The company is seeking a Green/Circular Economy Expert for the implementation of international projects under high-profile European and national contracts.
Responsibilities:
The expert will contribute to the provision of technical assistance in the EC programming process and provide quality support and backstopping for the design of EU international cooperation actions in the following areas:
· Programming, action identification, formulation, and delivery (including Monitoring & Evaluation)
· Capacity and knowledge development (e.g. organisation of training sessions, studies)
· Policy dialogue and knowledge transfer
· Business development and preparation of technical proposals for international donors
The services to be provided will mainly include:
· Review of programming documents and actions for EU support.
· Analytical work, including contributions to studies, reports, databases, and other knowledge resources.
· Support in the organisation of policy and learning events, with the use of web platforms.
· Support in the formulation of expert teams and coordination.
Qualifications required:
· University degree in Environment, Regional Planning, Economics, or a related field (a postgraduate degree in a similar field will be considered an asset).
· 3 - 5 years of professional experience in green/circular economy, sustainable consumption and production.
· Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web conferencing platforms (Webex, Zoom, Teams, etc.).
· Experience in international cooperation and development will be an advantage.
· Previous assignments for the European Commission will be considered an asset.
· Fluency in English (knowledge of French and/or Spanish will be considered an advantage).
