CDL A Truck Driver

Lion Energy is expanding our logistics operations and looking for a reliable, safety-focused CDL A Truck Driver to join our growing team. This role combines local deliveries with occasional over-the-road (OTR) routes to our partners and facilities across the U.S. Most nights you’ll be home, but you’ll also have opportunities to run multi-day routes when needed.
You’ll be driving modern, well-maintained equipment and representing one of the fastest-growing companies in the clean energy sector.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate a Freightliner Cascadia with 53-ft dry-van trailer
- Complete local and regional deliveries (home most nights)
- Occasionally run longer OTR routes (typically 2–4 days)
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, follow DOT and company safety standards
- Use ELD for Hours of Service (HOS) compliance
- Communicate with dispatch and warehouse teams for efficient delivery coordination
- Maintain accurate paperwork, logs, and shipment records
- Assist with loading/unloading as needed (no-touch freight for most routes)
- Handle hazmat freight safely and in compliance with DOT/PHMSA requirements

Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A
- 2+ years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Hazmat endorsement (H) preferred — or willingness to obtain (company assistance available)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in the past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Professional attitude and commitment to safety
