We have an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified Heating and Plumbing Engineer to join our growing Renewable Energy Company based in Swansea, to install and service air and ground source heat pumps and unvented cylinders.

Limitless Energy is a renewable heating and electrical solutions company, installing heat pumps, solar thermal, solar diverters, solar panels, battery storage and electric vehicle charge points.

 

Due to the energy and climate crises, demands for our services are growing and we are looking to expand our heating and plumbing team.

 

We are a family-owned business, established in 2014 and we believe domestic renewable heating systems are essential to transition away from fossil fuels. We run an electric fleet and work with mostly domestic and some commercial customers in and around Swansea, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend and Cardiff. We run the business from our eco-home in Mumbles which demonstrates all the technologies we install and have site storage and van charging premises in Penclawdd.

 

We provide a high level of service and engineering expertise, and customer service is at the forefront of our business. We are 5 star rated on google and are certified by MCS, RECC, NAPIT and Trustmark.

Summary of Role:

You will be responsible for the installation of air and ground source heat pumps and unvented cylinders across a range of sites around Swansea and the surrounding areas including Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Bridgend and Cardiff.

 

You will be responsible for the timely and efficient installation of heat pumps, unvented cylinders, radiators, underfloor heating and solar thermal systems. 


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Timely installation of air and ground source heat pumps, underfloor heating, radiators and unvented cylinders into new builds, extensions and retrofit existing dwellings.
  • Testing and filling of the newly installed system.
  • Commissioning of heat pump and issue resolution.
  • Service and breakdown for heat pumps and solar thermal systems.
  • Managing stock & material allocation to jobs.
  • Confident to work solo, or with a team of engineers, or oversee sub-contractors on site (as required).

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation of heating systems and plant rooms, will enjoy working in domestic environments, be a good communicator, able to use phone-based apps for job management, be passionate about good quality installations and will be aware of climate change. The candidate should also be a good team player and be eager to learn about the tech we install.

Salary and benefits:

Up to £20.50ph based upon experience and qualifications.

Paid on an hourly basis and so enables greater annual salary.

Salary sacrifice and employer contribution to pension.

28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays).

Profit sharing scheme after one year’s service.

Electric work van.

Training will be provided including health and safety, heat pump manufacturers’ training and all tickets as required.

 

Experience:

  • Experience of installing heating systems
  • Experience with installing unvented hot water cylinders
  • Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pump installation (optional)
  • Heat Pump ticket (optional – training will be provided)

· Experience of working on sites

· Experience of delivering excellent customer service

 

Licences and Certifications required:

  • Unvented cylinder ticket
  • City & Guilds Accredited NVQ Level 2 Plumbing and Heating
  • Full clean driving licence
