Role Description This is a full-time Project Manager role based in Dunedin, offered on a hybrid basis with a mix of on-site and work-from-home flexibility. The Project Manager oversees solar and electrical projects from initiation to completion, including planning scopes, defining timelines, and managing budgets. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams; scheduling and tracking project milestones; and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role involves overseeing inspections, monitoring logistics and material deliveries, resolving issues that may impact schedules, and preparing clear project reports and updates. The Project Manager is expected to foster effective communication, support continuous improvement, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Project management skills, including Project Management and related planning and coordination capabilities.
- Expediting competencies, such as Expeditor and Expediting experience to manage orders, follow-ups, and timelines.
- Inspection skills to oversee site checks, quality control, and compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Logistics Management skills to coordinate materials, deliveries, and resource allocation across multiple projects.
- Experience in electrical, solar, or construction environments is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a hybrid work setting.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or industry certification in project management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
