The Business Intelligence (BI) team plays a critical role in defining how our Global Ops team interacts with and uses data to achieve our overall goals. With more than 200 million rides and counting, Lime generates a wealth of data and localized knowledge. The BI team is responsible for ensuring we make this data and knowledge accessible to our Global Ops team; ensuring that our local operators and leadership are making informed decisions.

We are looking for a leader who is passionate about building a global BI platform to help us solve new problems in a rapidly evolving industry. You will have the opportunity to lead a team, scale new BI tools, optimize existing processes, and influence senior leaders across Lime. You’re both strategic and tactical; you can lead as well as roll up your sleeves when needed. Through your leadership, you’ll work with our functional partners to build industry leading BI capabilities.

What You'll Do

    • Overall accountability of the Business Intelligence team. The BI team covers data and knowledge sharing for Global Ops, and is responsible for: Management of BI tools, systems, and processes. Global metrics reporting and cadence. Strategic decision support through data insights
    • Team leadership: Define team vision, structure, and direction; inspire, motivate, and mentor the team
    • BI platform: Work closely with our global operations team - from leadership down to our local operators - to understand their data and knowledge sharing needs; partner with cross-functional colleagues (Data Science, Data Engineering, and Finance) to bring the right tools, data, and insights.
    • Wear your product manager hat in managing the Global Ops data dashboard portal, the real-time, self-service data tool used by our global team
    • Establish and improve global operational processes to ensure the quality of the source of truth data the company relies on to make informed decisions
    • Support the transition of financial related metrics to Anaplan, and manage the Ops team’s interactions and reporting from Anaplan
    • Evaluate opportunities to enhance BI’s suite of tools with the goal of scalable reporting and data-driven decision making
    • Manage and improve the our knowledge sharing platforms and processes used for: SOP management, global sharing of learnings/best practices, onboarding, and cross-functional interdependencies
    • Global metrics reporting: Own key reporting channels and cadence to regularly bring data and knowledge to the Global Ops team (All Hands, Business Reviews, KPI Reporting, etc.)
    • Build new metrics, dashboards, and reporting in Tableau, Anaplan, and Google Sheets that enables our teams to better understand business performance, progress towards our goals, and drive strategic decisions
    • Strategic decision supports: Use BI’s platform to proactively identify the most critical business problems facing the company, and drive insights and recommendations to leadership and local operators
    • Own cross-functional, global projects to evaluate strategic initiatives and new business opportunities; lead communications with senior leadership

About You

    • Bachelor degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
    • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, management consulting, investment banking, strategy and operations, or related experience
    • 2+ years of business intelligence related experience - advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
    • 2+ years of team management experience; able to lead by example
    • Exceptional data management and analytic skills (Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, and Dashboarding)
    • Experience with analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems, support decision making, and establish priorities/strategies; ability to interpret and translate large amounts of data into actionable insights for a range of stakeholders
    • Experience with Tableau, Anaplan, and other BI reporting tool
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams and translating requirements between business and technical teams
    • Knowledge of basic financial metrics, forecasting, and financial statement analysis
    • Ability to influence across multiple functional teams and senior leadership
    • Exceptional business judgment, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
    • Experience executing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
    • Self-driven with ownership and entrepreneurial mindset. Adaptive to multi-culture environment
    • Ability to be autonomous with great time management and prioritization skills
    • Excellent communication with the ability to engage and align internal stakeholders
    • Strong attention to detail
