In 2024, Lightsource bp became fully owned by bp, strengthening our ability to deliver clean energy projects at global scale.Join a team focused on building the infrastructure needed for the energy transition.The RoleLightsource bp is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of large‑scale solar projects from construction through commissioning and close‑out.This role is responsible for managing EPC contractors, project budgets, schedules, and cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.The Senior Project Manager will work closely with engineering, procurement, permitting, and executive leadership while managing both remote and on‑site project teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead execution of utility‑scale solar projects under EPC agreements through mechanical, substantial, and final completionManage project budgets, schedules, risk, and contract performanceOversee EPC contractors, subcontractors, and consultantsEnsure compliance with permits, regulatory requirements, and environmental commitmentsCoordinate with engineering and procurement teams on system design, RFIs, submittals, and long‑lead equipmentSupport negotiation and administration of EPC contracts, change orders, and claims managementWork with utilities and transmission authorities to support interconnection agreements and grid integrationDevelop and maintain strong relationships with regulators, authorities, and project stakeholdersProvide weekly and monthly project reporting to senior leadershipBuild and lead high‑performing project teams focused on safety, quality, and deliveryManage project close‑out, punch lists, and handover to Asset Management and OperationsWhat You’ll BringExperience12+ years of experience in renewable energy, industrial, or commercial constructionDemonstrated experience delivering large‑scale infrastructure or energy projectsStrong background managing EPC contractors and construction teamsExperience with substations, grid interconnection, and utility coordinationProven ability to manage multi‑million‑dollar project budgets and schedulesSkills & KnowledgeAbility to read engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, and construction plansStrong financial management and forecasting skillsExperience managing complex construction subcontractsExcellent stakeholder communication and leadership capabilitiesEducationBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related fieldMaster’s degree preferred5+ years of supervisory or leadership experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office and MS ProjectSpanish language skills are a plusWe OfferCompetitive compensation: $160,000 – $180,000 annually plus a 20% annual bonusHealth, dental, prescription, and vision care for US team members starting on your first day of employment with zero premiums for employee‑only coverageRetention bonusesFour weeks of vacation and three weeks of sick leave annually plus 11 paid holidays401(k) plan with a 3% nonelective employer contributionHybrid working environment (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in office; Monday and Friday remote)Monthly personal phone reimbursement of up to $100 and a monthly commuter benefit of up to $150Lifestyle Savings Account and moreWhy You’ll Want to Work With UsOur company is a place where you can be yourself and grow – a place where your ideas and opinions matter.Be you: We pride ourselves on being an inclusive community where every individual is valued and treated with respect.Be responsible: Our culture is driven by our core values.
