Role Description As a Research and Development Specialist at LIBA Business GmbH, you will support the design and improvement of HVAC, building automation, and energy management solutions through applied research and technical analysis. In this full-time hybrid role based in Germany, you will conduct experimental studies, evaluate new technologies and components, and translate findings into practical design recommendations, with flexibility to work both on-site and from home. Day-to-day tasks include planning and executing R&D projects, analyzing performance data, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with engineering, project, and sales teams to align innovations with client requirements and regulatory standards. You will also contribute to prototype testing, laboratory trials, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen product efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Research and Development (R&D) and applied Research, with experience designing and executing technical or engineering-focused studies.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret experimental data, assess system performance, and support evidence-based recommendations.
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Hands-on Laboratory Skills for testing, measurement, and experimental setup, ideally in mechanical, HVAC, or energy systems environments.
- Relevant technical degree (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Building Services, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, building automation, or energy management technologies is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setup, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Working proficiency in English; German language skills are an advantage for on-site collaboration and client communication.
