Summary
This role will monitor proper inventory levels and coordinate orders for materials needed to meet the master production schedule, as well as coordinate and manage the inbound and outbound warehouse operation. This role will also track and report weekly/monthly inventory volume to prevent excessive inventory and minimize expense, and coordinate across several company teams to ensure production plans are on-track.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

- Manage and monitor inventory and shipping, including the outbound warehouse management system and the inbound system processes and transactions
- Report on inventory and communicate inventory reports to Production, Planning, Materials, and Sales/Marketing teams
- Report month-end warehouse data
- Allocate finished goods to following-day shipments, monitor those shipments, and sign off when out in the system
- Approve or deny shipment requests; monitor and review requests and verify shipment obligations can be fulfilled
- Utilize the OWMS system for inventory control-monitoring processes. Research shipments, produce reports for customer service, and train others on the system.
- Coordinate between teams, communicate all the requirements, and verify shipment details
- Attend all production planning meetings weekly, providing input
- Monitor and compare production plans to production results; communicate any potential issues and mitigate risk
- Report updates on if plans are on-track and getting executed efficiently
- Manage all inventory control of raw materials
- Work with Quality team to block problem materials from going into production
- Work with Purchasing team to alert for the need of materials and to stop incoming materials if they are not needed yet
- Conduct physical inventory first of each month; oversees the inventory coordinator
- Conduct cycle counts
- Work with the Customer Service team for returns
- Participate in any whole-company projects
- Develop and maintain effective Materials Control Process based of Internal company Standards
- Troubleshoot raw materials usage abnormalities, identifying root causes and proposing solutions for improvement
- Monitor Inbound logistics performance, and coordinate cost and budget as necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent, relevant experience
- Training in CPIM-Supply Chain Management preferred
Experience:
- 1-3+ years of experience in materials planning, including a thorough understanding of MRP system (SAP preferred)
