Solar Field & Battery Storage Technician

We are seeking experienced Solar Field & Battery Storage Technicians to join our clean energy team in Goodyear, AZ, with travel to Phoenix-area locations as needed. This is a full-time, day-shift position (schedule may vary based on operational needs) focused on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility-scale solar PV systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to support reliable and efficient power plant operations in a fast-paced field environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar panels, inverters, transformers, racking systems, and BESS equipment
• Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical, mechanical, and control system issues using testing equipment
• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, JSAs, and company safety standards
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
• Monitor system performance using CMMS and SCADA, documenting maintenance activities

Requirements

• Proven experience working with utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS)
• Strong knowledge of electrical (AC/DC), mechanical, and instrumentation systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues independently
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to Goodyear and Phoenix-area sites
• Comfortable responding to urgent issues and working non-traditional hours if needed
