Solar Technician III (S4) LRE (Leeward Renewable Energy) is forging an American energy future with integrity, innovation, and positive impact. Born in Texas in 2003, we own and operate over 30 utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects in local communities across the United States, totaling 4 gigawatts (GW) of generating capacity. Routine Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on solar panels, inverters, racking, and tracking systems under supervision. Ensure all work is conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures. Accurately record all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including work order creation, updates, and closure. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices to minimize risks. Assist in preparing reports on maintenance activities, including documenting issues encountered, solutions implemented, and recommendations for future work. Engage in on-the-job training to develop technical skills and knowledge in solar plant operations. Participate in company-provided training programs to advance to higher levels within the solar technician career path. Equipment Handling: Assist in handling and organizing tools, equipment, and materials required for maintenance tasks. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored. Team Collaboration: Work closely with higher-level technicians and the Site Lead to complete tasks efficiently and effectively. High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic understanding of electrical systems and mechanical aptitude. Ability to accurately document work activities and follow instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
