ESG Analyst - Large Company
This position evaluates environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors to assess company sustainability risks and opportunities, typically within investment firms or corporations. They analyze data, report on metrics, and guide investment or corporate strategies to enhance sustainability. Key duties include monitoring data, creating reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Research: Collect, analyze, and interpret ESG performance data, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
- ESG Integration & Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate sustainability risks related to climate change, social inequalities, and governance issues in investment portfolios or company operations
- Reporting & Disclosure: Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and disclosures for stakeholders
- Monitoring & Performance Tracking: Track metrics like GHG emissions and waste management, supporting the assurance process of non-financial data.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively participate in investor relations and collaborate with various internal units to promote sustainability goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Background: Degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or Sustainability.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD) and rating platforms
- Data Skills: Strong data visualization skills and financial modeling abilities.
- Attributes: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience: Often requires 3+ years in ESG-related corporate, consulting, or financial roles.
