Position Summary

The Director of Sales – Recycling, Landfill & Polymer Centers is responsible for driving national growth across Leadpoint’s core environmental verticals, including Materials Recovery Facilities (MRFs), landfills, transfer stations, and polymer/plastics recycling operations. This role is accountable for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with regional and national operators, while expanding existing customer relationships to increase market penetration, wallet share, and long-term partnership value.

This position serves as a brand ambassador for Leadpoint across the recycling and environmental services industry, owning the full sales lifecycle from initial prospecting through contract execution and ongoing account development. Sales Cycle Ownership

  • Manage the full sales cycle including discovery, site visits, operational assessments, solution design, pricing, proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Conduct detailed site visits and operational walkthroughs to understand customer workflows, labor models, safety requirements, and performance challenges.
  • Develop customized, data-driven proposals including wage analysis, staffing models, margin structure, and performance assumptions.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite, regional leadership, operations managers, and procurement teams at target and existing accounts.
  • Act as a strategic partner and advisor to customers, positioning Leadpoint as a long-term operating partner rather than a transactional labor provider.
  • Support renewal conversations, expansions, and scope changes in partnership with Operations and Executive leadership.

Industry Engagement & Brand Representation

  • Represent Leadpoint at national and regional industry events, trade shows, conferences, and customer outings.
  • Actively participate in recycling, waste, and plastics industry associations to strengthen Leadpoint’s brand presence and industry credibility.
  • Position Leadpoint as the preferred workforce solutions partner within the recycling, landfill, and polymer sectors.

CRM, Reporting & Internal Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce including contacts, activities, proposals, contracts, and pipeline forecasts.
  • Ensure data integrity, proper documentation, and consistent communication logging for all owned accounts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Executive leadership to align on strategy, pricing, and execution.
