Title: Director of Sales

Position Summary

The Director of Sales is responsible for representing the Leadpoint brand across the recycling and hauling industries and achieving revenue targets through the acquisition of new accounts within an assigned region. This position drives growth by identifying and cultivating prospective clients, managing the entire sales cycle, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and loyalty across both new and existing accounts.

This key member of the sales team plays a critical role in prospect outreach, lead generation, proposal development, pricing, and participation in industry events and tradeshows. The role also supports existing customers as needed and maintains accurate records in Salesforce. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Business Development, the Director of Sales must be highly results-oriented and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, professionalism, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

· Partner with sales and marketing to execute lead generation strategies (LinkedIn, industry databases, outreach campaigns, etc.).

· Initiate communications, conduct site visits, and follow up to move prospects through the sales cycle.

· Attend industry tradeshows, customer events, and other networking opportunities to generate new leads and accounts.

· Build and maintain target lists in Salesforce; ensure data integrity, communication logs, and document uploads for all accounts.

·Collaborate with Operations and VP of Business Development on contract renewals and updates for existing customers.

· Collaborate with operations and Director of Sales on contract renewals and updates for existing customers.

· Prepare wage analyses, pricing models, and sales proposals for new and existing clients.

· Represent the Leadpoint brand professionally across all customer interactions and industry events.

· Support administrative, operations, and sales functions as needed to meet company goals.

· Foster long-term relationships with customers and prospects, reinforcing Leadpoint’s value proposition and ensuring ongoing loyalty.

Additional Responsibilities Specific to Hauling / On-Route Support

· Develop and maintain relationships with hauling companies, municipal collection departments, and independent haulers.

· Identify opportunities to provide Leadpoint driver-helper crews and other on-route support solutions.

· Understand collection route structures, schedules, safety requirements, and driver-helper staffing models to accurately scope proposals.

· Coordinate with the Vice President of Operations and Operations Directors to ensure smooth start-ups and high service levels for hauling clients.

· Stay informed on federal, state, and local regulations affecting hauling operations (DOT, OSHA, living wage ordinances, etc.).

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional and collaborative environment with frequent customer-facing interactions. Standard office equipment and integrated systems are used, including Avionte, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands

· Strong communication and listening skills are essential.

· Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and stairwell climbing during site visits.

· Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds, and up to 25 pounds on rare occasions.

Work Hours and Travel

· Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

· Up to 60% travel is required; evenings and weekends may be necessary for tradeshows, site visits, and customer events.

Required Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business or related fields preferred.

· Minimum 3 years of sales or operational experience in the waste, recycling, polymer, or hauling/on-route support industry (required).

· Demonstrated success in business development, lead generation, and account management.

· Familiarity with collection route operations, driver-helper staffing, safety standards, and labor cost modeling for hauling operations.

· Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communication skills.

· High level of professionalism, self-initiative, and sound decision-making.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related business systems.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, safety, and compliance teams to deliver start-ups and ongoing service for hauling clients.

Preferred / Ideal Candidate Profile

· Established, active relationships within the waste, recycling, and hauling industries that can be leveraged to accelerate Leadpoint’s growth.

· Proven track record of opening new accounts quickly through industry connections and consultative selling.

· Familiarity with the unique staffing and operational challenges of both MRF and hauling operations.
