Description: Join our team as a Building Maintenance Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our facilities. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs to create a seamless and efficient environment. Your expertise will contribute to a well-maintained building that supports the needs of our occupants and enhances their experience. Job Responsibilities Perform routine inspections of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and building infrastructure. Respond to emergency maintenance calls and resolve issues promptly. Monitor and manage building automation systems to ensure efficiency and safety. Maintain records of maintenance activities, monitor equipment performance and document building information. Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures. Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and order parts as needed. Participate in energy management and sustainability initiatives. Inspect and maintain safety equipment and coordinate inspections such as fire alarms and extinguishers. Collaborate with property management to plan and execute building improvements. Conduct regular assessments of building conditions and report findings to management. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment. Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance or a related role. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Familiarity with building automation systems and energy management. Ability to conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance. Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work on-call hours and respond to emergencies. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Certification in EPA, HVAC, or other relevant credentials is a plus Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
