For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer Backend to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. - Design and produce high quality, maintainable code
- Own and manage backend systems including their long-term health
- Partner with Product Managers to deliver new scalable features
- Collaborate with peers to improve system reliability and quality
- Manage production cloud environment rollouts and monitoring
- Mentor team members through design and code reviews
- Coordinate projects across multiple engineering teams
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or 5+ years relevant experience
- Proficient in Go or Python with cloud-based microservices expertise
- Experience in delivering complex backend systems independently
- Ability to leverage AI tools and maintain engineering judgment
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
