For our client, we are seeking a Lead Solutions Architect - DERMS to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.
This remote role will focus on guiding technical solution strategy for utility customers navigating distributed energy resource management and related grid modernization needs. The position blends client engagement, technical consultation, and proposal support with close coordination across product, account, and marketing teams. The ideal candidate will help translate customer requirements, regulatory challenges, and market trends into practical solutions and value-added services.

Compensation: $103,040 – $154,560 annually

Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new client leads while nurturing existing relationships.
- Provide technical expertise and product recommendations during customer consultations.
- Document and address technical and regulatory challenges faced by customers.
- Communicate customer requirements and market trends to the Product Management team.
- Define and assess value-added technology-enabled services using the company's DERMS platform.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and the Proposal Manager to deliver timely proposals and respond to RFPs.
- Support marketing efforts through trade shows, customer-ready presentations, and relevant insights.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related field focused on power systems.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the utility industry with technical sales and writing experience.
- Strong understanding of emerging energy industry trends and regulations regarding DER management and microgrids.
- Familiarity with interconnection and interoperability standards, utility-to-DER integration technologies, and communication protocols.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven client management skills to attract and expand relationships.
